Privacy statement
How Ketelaar Techniek B.V. handles personal data for KT-Control and on this website.
Last updated: 24 October 2026. This is a translation; in case of differences the Dutch version prevails.
Who are we?
KT-Control is a product of Ketelaar Techniek B.V., Overmeerseweg 34, 1394 BD Nederhorst den Berg, the Netherlands. Ketelaar Techniek is responsible for processing personal data as described in this statement. You can ask questions about privacy through the contact form or on +31 294 712 051.
Which data do we process?
For the use of the KT-Control app and the modules we process:
- Account data: name, email address and login details of administrators and users of the app.
- User data in the module: phone number, PIN where applicable, permitted outputs and schedules.
- Log data: who operated an installation and when, and which messages there were, such as a door contact or fault.
- Technical data: data needed to make the app and the modules work and to secure them, such as the status of the module and the time of the connection.
What do we use this data for?
- To make the access installation work: recognising who may open, and when.
- To show the administrator an event log and notifications.
- To provide support and solve faults.
- To protect the service against misuse.
The legal basis is the performance of the agreement with the owner or administrator of the installation, and our legitimate interest in a secure and properly working service. The administrator of an installation decides which users are added and is responsible for informing those users.
Where is the data stored?
KT-Control runs on our own servers in the Netherlands, on our own hardware. We do not sell data and do not share it with third parties for marketing. We only use parties that are necessary for the service, such as the mobile operator of the SIM card in a 4G module and the notification service of your phone (Apple or Google) for push notifications.
How long do we keep data?
We do not keep data longer than necessary. We keep account data and users as long as the installation is in use. When a user is removed, we delete their data. We keep log data as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was recorded. After that it is deleted.
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data. Connections to the app are encrypted, and only users with the right role can view or change data of an installation.
Contact form
If you send a message through the contact form, we receive your name, email address, optionally your phone number and your message by email. We only use this data to answer your question and do not keep it longer than necessary for handling it and any follow-up contact. To prevent spam, we keep an encrypted (non-traceable) value of your IP address for a maximum of 24 hours. The form itself uses no cookies and no third-party services.
This website
Fonts and images come from our own server. As usual, the web server keeps technical log files (such as IP address and time) to secure the site and trace faults.
Cookies and Google Analytics
Only if you give permission, we use Google Analytics to see how the website is used, for example which pages are visited and how visitors find the site. For this, Google Analytics places cookies (starting with _ga) and processes data such as your truncated IP address, your device and browser and the pages visited. This data is processed by Google Ireland Ltd. and may also be processed in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We only use the data for statistics, not for advertising.
If you do not give permission, Google Analytics is not loaded and no cookies are placed. Your choice is stored in your own browser. You can change your choice or withdraw your permission at any time via at the bottom of every page.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, and to object to the processing. If you are a user of an installation, you can also contact the administrator of that installation. Send your request through the contact form. We respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
We may amend this privacy statement. The most recent version can always be found on this page.
